TelePrograms or Programs . . . what's the
big difference?
Programs are traditional
on-site workshops, trainings or similar education-oriented events.
Participants leave their offices or other location, gather
together in one place with a facilitator, speaker or trainer who
leads them through the partial-to-multi-day event.
Afterward, perhaps even excited about the new information, they
return to their home locations and often find their "desks on
fire" with stacked up work, calls to return, a backlog to address.
The valuable material they learned and brought back with them may
never get picked up again, and is ultimately lost along with the
training expenses that go down the drain.
Sound familiar?
TelePrograms , on the
other hand, are virtual events in which people can participate
without the time or expense of travel, and that occur over a
period of time or series of working sessions. Materials are
introduced or discussed in manageable portions on which actions
can be taken between sessions. The valuable information
gained is applied in stages and can be 'tweaked' along the way, so
the learning, a new strategy or an improved plan is actually
implemented over time -- and productive change really occurs.
Big difference! Make sense?!
